Chris wears Rockmount ranch wear and Tony Lama boots while performing with the J&R band.
Born and raised in Long Beach, CA, Chris began studying guitar in 1964 as a pre-teen and was performing for audiences by 1967. Chris began writing music and lyrics while performing with the band Buxtahude Country in the early '70's. He's a published songwriter and a member of ASCAP.
Chris contributed banjo tracks for Mike Clifford's 2006 CD release, The Heartbreak Grill & Bar. Chris also served as photographer for the project. The Dallas Morning News called the album "definitely worth the wait . . . he's all about sawdust floors, two-stepping, and that so-country fiddle, steel guitar, and banjo triumvirate." Chris also provides guitars and vocals for The Ken Blanchard Companies Week of Excellence band.
Chris engineers and produces his recording efforts in his home studio and serves as site webmaster.
